Inclement Weather – Extra Capacity and extra hours open now through at least Monday.
· Youth and Young Adult shelter at Beacon Shelter on Faucet and 13th in Downtown Tacoma (415 S 13th, Tacoma, WA) – for anyone 24 and under. Only 18-24 can stay the night. Will be open 24 hours all weekend. Meals provided. Had available capacity last night. Folks can only bring in stuff they can hold. Has a no pet policy, but do it on a pet-by-pet basis.
· Single Men Shelter – Tacoma Rescue Mission downtown campus (425 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA). Increased capacity with 78 overflow beds (for 200+ beds). Filled all but 20 beds last night. Staying open 24 hours per day at least through Monday. Three meals a day and can use all the facilities all day.
· Family Shelter at the Salvation Army – shelter for families. Send folks to us. 1501 6th avenue – from 4pm to 7pm . If it is later, it needs to be folks coming from the police, fire or search and rescue. Open all day all weekend. Families and couples are welcome.
· Adult Shelter at Nativity House Shelter – serves all genders - increased capacity by 80 (to 250 beds) – had 5 spots open last night. Prefer clients to sign in at 3:30 for inclement weather, but will accept clients 24 hours a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Have outside, tarped parking for shopping carts of stuff.
· Puyallup Freezing Nights Adult Shelter – meet at 6:30pm at the New Hope Center – 414 Spring St., Puyallup, WA 98372.
Stay warm,
