Dear Friends:

Yesterday, I made the decision to resign from my position as Pierce County Human Services Director. My last day will be March 15^th. I am not going far. I am returning to my previous position at the Korean Women’s Association. This decision did not come easily. I want to thank you all for your great work and support!

As I prepare to leave, I'm especially appreciative for the great leaders we have in Pierce County doing the hard work! It is because of the outstanding work you all do each day that we are able to provide the best support we can to Pierce County residents.

I believe all leaders are nothing without a great team. You are part of the team that keeps the engine primed and running! So during my time of reflection, please know how very proud I am to have served with you.

I leave you with a thought from Teddy Roosevelt:

"Nothing in this world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty."
