I am forwarding the Tacoma Tenants Organizing Committee Action Alert on the Tenant Protection bills. Increasing tenant protections statewide will not of itself create more housing affordable to very low income people, but these new protections will keep tenants housed longer thus allowing time to try and help them figure out how to find new housing.
Remember - check your organization's advocacy rules - you may need to use your personal device to make these calls/send these emails.

Good morning! The vital tenant protection bills we've been fighting for will be on the State House floor for a vote at any moment! Please let your elected officials know ASAP to VOTE YES for Just Cause (HB 1656) and Eviction Reform (HB 1453 / SB 5600). Without these protections, tenants across Washington are far too vulnerable to displacement and eviction. We have the opportunity to address historic housing inequities, promote housing security, and prevent homelessness by taking action now!
