Please send any young adults to the CLR Beacon Center for the Young Adult Shelter.  Services are geared to their age group and it frees up a bed for an older adult at TRM.

All is correct with this message except the client talks to a case manager every 30 days for an extension. They talk to Gerald if they want to stay longer than 30 days.

Yes, so long as he is not on the exclusion list here at TRM(I read he is from the East Coast but don’t know if he has lived here before that at any point), and is not enrolled in the Stability Site waitlist, he can come here at 3:30PM and get on the list for an emergency mat, after 2 weeks he will cycle out of overflow and into the common area, and after that(not sure of the exact timing there)will move into the dormitory area on a bunk. He can stay *up to 90 days, with a conversation with the Program Manager Gerald every 30 days highlighting why he believes he should stay another 30 days. That process happens until he reaches 90 days, barring and egregious policy and procedure violations of course. The booth/check in area will accommodate some work schedules, and he will be required to have a Diversion conversation with a Case Manager within seventy-two hours of first arriving at the TRM, *if he wants to stay more than seven days. If he does not have the conversation with one of our Case Managers within the time parameter(or arranges another time because work/schedule conflict etc.) the folks running the bed list here will assume he only needs the seven days guaranteed to all new participants of the shelter program, and he will lose his spot on the emergency mat list.

I hope this helps.

Best,

Andrea

Good Afternoon all,

I have a 19 soon to be 20 year old male. Has a part time job with a temp agency. Is looking for housing. Was in DCS with North Carolina. Been in Wa since October. If there is any help out there for him I would greatly appreciate it.
