Good news from Olympia yesterday, as three critical housing justice bills passed in the House.
HB 1453/Macri will give tenants extra time (more than the current 3 days!) to pay back rent before eviction proceedings can begin;
HB 1406/Robinson will require more notice to tenants of rent increases; and HB1219/Walen will allow local jurisdictions to use the Real Estate Excise Tax they collect to invest in affordable housing.
