Hi All,
I want to let you know about an important and timely new initiative from our friends at WA-DOH.
As many of you may already know Sean Hemmerle, a former Outreach Worker for the Tacoma Needle Exchange, was recently hired by WA-DOH to implement DPH's new Overdose
Education & Naloxone Distribution Program. The purpose of this program is to, "get naloxone into the hands of the people
most likely to witness and respond to an overdose- people who use drugs and
their friends and family. Some organization examples are jails and prisons (for
persons about to be released into their community), drug treatment programs,
transitional/abstinence-based housing, programs serving the homeless and
marginally housed, and other agencies that work directly with persons who use
drugs."
I've attached the request form. Just fill it out and get it back to Sean -and start saving lives!
Best,
Paul
