Executive Director Position - Recovery Cafe Orting Valley

 

The Recovery Cafe is a community in which men and women traumatized by homelessness, addiction and or mental health challenges can come to know themselves as loved and as instruments of love in the lives of others with gifts to share.

 

Recovery Cafe Orting Valley is seeking an Executive Director. The successful person will be a strong leader with proven experience in non-profit management, ideally in Behavioral health serving those who have been traumatized by homelessness, addiction, 

and mental health challenges. The Executive Director exercises this responsibility under the authority of a Board of Directors in close consultation with the Founding Executive Committee.

 

Responsibilities include:

·  Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with volunteers, donors, grantors, Board, staff, and as a community leader.

·  Proven management of staff and volunteer organizations.

·  Expertise in HR managing teams of people to achieve results.

·  Proven financial accountability and making efficient use of resources. 

·  Primary, proven responsibility for the development of fundraising plans, and raising the funds, through community relationship building, grant writing and all other means appropriate.

·  Responsible for the development of Strategic Plan in concert with the Board, then effectively communicating and implementing these plans.

·  A leader of exceptional character with a duty to model in the Cafe, Board, and community.

·  Cultivate a healthy vibrant community and culture within the Cafe and the community nurtured by its spiritual roots and guiding principles.

·  Live out the mission, vision, and principles of the Cafe each in every day in all that we do.

 

Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree in an associated field. Masters degree preferred.

·  Minimum 6 years of management experience with proven results in HR, finance, fundraising, contract/grant administration.

·  Demonstrated commitment and follow through - results orientated.

·  Strong communicator and community leader as an advocate and spokesperson.

·  Strong desire to support those on the recovery journey.

·  Strong interpersonal skills.

 

Salary and Benefits:

·  $50k - $70k based on background, skills.
