Dear Colleagues & Friends,

It is bittersweet for me to announce that I am leaving my position as Director of Operations for Homeless Adult Services at Catholic Community Services. I accepted a job offer with the Office of Forensic Mental Health Services at Washington State Department of Social and Health Services as a project manager working on the True Blood Class Action lawsuit.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the homeless community and even more grateful to CCS for believing in my leadership and allowing me to grow as a professional and as an advocate for the poor and vulnerable. I want to thank Agency Director, Denny Hunthausen and other CCS leaders for having faith in me to lead Homeless Adult Services. The decision to leave was tough and did not come easily. In all my years, I have not worked with a finer group of leaders and staff.

I want to thank Pierce and Kitsap County, the City of Tacoma, and the Coalition to End Homelessness. To the staff and providers, thank you for your dedication and commitment to our community. We give our entire self emotionally, intellectually, professionally, and personally when serving our communities. It was a blessing to be a part of such a dynamic team.

I will begin my new position on May 6, 2019. Melissa Moss (MelissaM@ccsww.org) is taking over full leadership of Homeless Adult Services at CCS. She is a highly skilled compassionate leader. I could not leave this work in more capable and caring hands. A true leader who is devoted to helping those on the margins of society and the team that supports her.

I look forward to crossing paths with you in my new role and ask you to welcome Melissa in her role as well. I thank all of you for the opportunity to serve you.

God Bless!

Respectfully,

Joshua A. Waguespack
