Subject: Racial and socioeconomic justice in housing policy resolution
Hello colleagues,Attached you will find a resolution concerning housing policy that I plan to introduce next week; this is a final version of a previously longer resolution draft I forwarded on to you all in the past month, inviting comment and dialogue. This email is meant to invite the same feedback loop.Thank you to the Mayor and CMs Mello and Ibsen for co-sponsoring this resolution, and thank you to our staff for helping to craft and properly direct this work as to eliminate any possible duplication of effort with AHAS.The resolution is meant to specifically address racial and socioeconomic justice in the city’s comprehensive plan, set forth possible strategies to be studied in an effort to confront and reverse historically exclusionary housing practices through zoning, recognize and adopt the history of institutional racism in the form of redlining into the city’s Comprehensive Plan for the first time, and for the city to begin proactive study and planning efforts to identify and root out gentrification and housing displacement risk in the community. Please let me know if you have any comments, concerns or questions I can address.

The Rialto is in Tacoma, so landlord is required to give a payment plan for move-in costs if requested. Is $500 the initial payment on the payment plan or the total move-in cost?Jennifer AmmonsStaff AttorneyNorthwest Justice Project715 Tacoma Avenue SouthTacoma, WA 98402(253) 272-7879, ext. 09371-888-201-1015 (toll-free)(253)272-8226 (fax)Combatting Injustice • Strengthening Communities • Protecting Human DignityThis email may contain information that is protected by attorney-client, work product or other privileges. Hello friends,I am searching for someone who attended Hire 253 and was currently facing or experiencing homelessness and found employment at the April Hire 253 event. This should be someone who is willing to speak in front of our Goodwill Board of Directors and with media. We really need this in order to advocate for the continuation of the event and to keep the media attention, it is so important to show that this is a benefit to our community and that it is working. Please reply back directly to me. I have $50 in GW vouchers for participation as well as transportation needs.Thank you so much!Kelly BlucherManager of Community Engagement & OutreachGoodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region
