Loved ones,

Our lovely resident senior at The Salvation Army is getting to a point where we cannot keep her anymore – and yet she has no place to go.  She is having problems with basic daily hygiene needs and we can’t get her any assistance while she is living here (so I’m told).   I had asked a few months ago for someone to contact me and I had an overwhelming response but the staff member that handled that is no longer here – and we need to basically start over.  I could call APS (and that is my plan) but I’m wondering if we already have  representation within the Homeless Coalition for this.

I also found two cards for her – one for Medicaid,  one for united healthcare.   I would love it if someone who is a United Healthcare advocate (whatever that role is called) could call me and we could figure out her medical status.  I will be writing a couple of you privately that I know can help clear it up but she really needs to be in touch with UH.

Her dementia has taken a big turn for the worse in the last few weeks.   We need help.  Thanks, team!

If I don’t hear from someone by 3pm this afternoon, I will go ahead and just call the general number for APS.   I tried to find the former conversation I had but since I didn’t mention her name in the emails, it is hard to sift through my emails.

Thanks,

Martha Sheppard
