You can always take to St. Joseph’s emergency department as nonprofit hospital have to care for all and then their social services department can assist with him with getting proper care

Job training opportunity at YouthBuild Tacoma—we have 4 spots left in our current cohort! Youth ages 18-24 work with us to earn their GED, construction skills and certifications, leadership, and professional development. The construction industry is booming here in Pierce County, and starting salaries are anywhere from $18-26 an hour!

 

It is completely free to participants and they receive supportive services, free breakfast, lunch, and worksite clothing, ORCA/Gas card, as well as a $20 stipend per each day they are in program.

 

Who is eligible: any youth ages 18-24 who are low-income, experiencing homelessness, or other disadvantaging circumstance, who want to earn their GED. We are also accepting high school graduates at this time.

 

Start date: ASAP! Graduation date: Nov. 14th. Hours: M-Th 8 AM to 4 PM. Location: Goodwill building, 714 S 27th St in Tacoma.

Attached are the calendar for the CRC, Pierce LFO Reconsideration Day flier and Work Source’s FOURTEENTH  Employer of the Day Event on August 23rd! The event will take place at the Court Resource Center from 8:30 am - 11:00 am, where on the spot interviews will be held for production positions at Liuna!

Please send over anyone who might be in need of a job.

 

Pierce County and Tacoma Courts are teaming up to reconsider legal financial obligations (LFOs) owed by those who cannot afford to pay back their fines.  The LFO Reconsideration Day will be on Wednesday, September 25 from 8:30am-3:30pm.  Appointments MUST be made in advance using the website on this flyer.  Please forward this to anyone who might benefit from this day!
