Good Afternoon,

Recently we have had some potential new clients come into our shelter by way of driving or walking up the campus. Since this is a closed campus and we don’t advertise the address we had some concerns and wanted to make sure all were aware of the process for how to get into the shelter. So I thought it would be helpful if I shared with you all on how the process works and how clients can get into our shelter since we are not a walk up site, there is a process for getting into Adams. Here is the steps below, hope this helps and please let me know if you have any questions!

Our shelter is for single women and families with children. Clients can call Monday, Wednesday, Friday between the hours of 8am-10am to find out more and be placed on our tracking sheet. We are always full but do our best to help those in greatest need and get them into safe shelter as soon as possible. Clients are also welcome to call our front desk at any time for more information, or if they have questions about eligibility.

Our number is: 253-383-4493 ext. 1500.

Our staff can also refer clients to other resources, such as the Salvation Army and the Family Day Center, which are a part of other organizations.

(“Family” is defined as a parent or parents with minor children in their custody, or a pregnant woman.)
