I just met this homeless couple this past Sunday at my church. The young lady is 27 and unfortunately not able to receive services from REACH. She’s 4 weeks from giving birth and they’re living in a car. I’m trying to get them connected to immediate shelter. Today we’re going to Valeo to get the partner connected to employment. We’re also going to attempt Coordinated Entry today. I’ve contacted Nativity House and Tacoma Rescue Mission Family campus. Are there any openings at any other shelters that can accommodate a pregnant couple? Also are there any other resources that I’m missing for them? Thanks in advance.
