Provider meeting this Friday, November 22nd, from 9:15am-11:15am. As always, we are at the Salvation Army Church (1110 S Puget Sound Ave, Tacoma, WA  98405). Note the 9:15 start time.

This week, we are again hitting the topic of shelters hard, and also hearing about some of MDCs Substance Use programs.  The agenda is attached, and as usual, I’ll bring hard copies to the meeting.  The executive summary:
    ·         Councilwoman Pam Roach will present some ideas for expanding shelter, and probably a few other homelessness related topics
    ·         Metropolitan Development Council will present on their Withdrawal Management program and their Evaluation and Treatment Center
    ·         Shelter Update by the Metropolitan Development Council and their partners
    ·         Shelter Initiatives update by the City of Tacoma

Also, we had a request for an accommodation, so we are bringing in Live Event Captioning – where someone types live what is being spoken.  Nothing you have to do special (except use the microphone) – just wanted you to know it would be there.

    See you soon,
      -Gerrit
