Hi all,

Tacoma Needle Exchange is partnering with TPCHD, DOH, and PCAF to put on a free event about hepatitis C. Every year hep C kills more people than all of the other CDC-reportable infectious diseases combined, including HIV, HBV, and tuberculosis. But recent advances in medication have made it possible to cure almost everyone who has hep C in about 3 months, with minimal side effects - with enough resources, we could cure almost everyone in the state by spring.

This event is open to all, so please feel free to share with any clients or staff that you think might be interested. There will be multiple gift card drawings ($50 gift cards!) for attendees, plus breakfast from Panera.

The event will be this Wednesday from 9-11 at TPCHD on 37th and Pacific.

If you can't make it, but you want to learn more about hep C, please reach out! Homelessness is frequently a barrier to treating hep C, but it doesn't have to be.
