Hi Maira,

Thank you for your inquiry! Please be advised that any person who resides within the City of Tacoma limits can apply for Energy Assistance NOW as we have funding.

Things to know:

Energy Assistance eligibility:

-Reside in the Tacoma City Limits

-Completed application

-ID’s for everyone in the house 18+ of age

-SS for everyone in home

-3 month income (example: Oct, Nov, Dec)

-Pay stubs (showing gross mthly) or bank statements (example: Oct, Nov, Dec)

-Recent utility bill and an account that is open (unfortunately we cannot assist with accounts that are closed or that are in collections)

After we determine energy assistance eligibility, we advise clients to continue paying on their utility bill as it may take 6-8 weeks for a pledge to appear on their utility account.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further inquiries.

Warm regards,

RENEE

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me where clients can go for help with a 48 hr shut off notice from TPU? At least half of what needs to be paid to avoid shut off tomorrow. Then she can make arraignments for the rest of her bill.

Thank You
