Please consider joining us at a memorial service next Friday afternoon at 1 pm for a Hilltop resident who passed away December 31^st.  Chuck was a long-time fixture at the bus stop near People’s Park, and spent most of the past 3 years that I knew him living on the streets.  He spent the fall in the Veteran’s Room at Tacoma Rescue Mission, and with the significant help of staff at TRM, the VA, and THA, was able to secure housing assistance.  He was scheduled to move in to an apartment on New Year’s Eve, but was hospitalized December 26^th for complications resulting from chronic health issues.  Chuck went home on New Year’s Eve. 

He was a friend of mine, and a fixture in the Hilltop.  I would be honored if you would join us.
