Through 2020, Tacoma’s Planning Commission is asking the community to join in a discussion about housing needs, development trends, zoning, and neighborhood change to make recommendations to City Council.

AFFORDABILITY PROGRESS CALLS FOR STATE-WIDE COORDINATION WITH LOCAL FLEXIBILITY.

TPCAHC, along with other state housing consortia, created two action items to amplify voices and support key legislation in Olympia right now. Each action item takes less than 60 seconds!

1. Sign & Send. As an individual, send in a comment letter to your elected officials. And/or sign your organization to our petition.

2. Tweet & Post. Use our communications toolkit to generate more buzz about these key pieces of legislation.

UNIVERSITY OF WA - TACOMA'S URBAN STUDIES ANNUAL FORUM

UW-Tacoma is hosting their annual forum on the topic "Attainable Housing and the Future of Prosperity and Inclusion in Pierce County".

This year’s annual forum will bring experts from around the nation to discuss various housing policies, their implementation, and patterns of success and failure. This will include both housing experts and regional decisionmakers. A panel of local policymakers will then present their approaches and strategies, while considering the wide array of presentations preceding them.
