Good afternoon!

The Cedar Rising Coalition is thrilled to announce that we are hosting the first ever:

Salish Region Resource Mapping Day!
March 5, 2020
8:00am - 12:00pm

Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center
5011 Bernie Whitebear Way
Seattle, WA

What is Resource Mapping?
Creating a visual representation of resources and identifying gaps in services for Native and Non-Native people across our region. We will identify gaps, network and share information, and ultimately create a digital, GIS map of resources and services that will aid in referrals, collaborative outreach, and help us all to better serve our community.

Why should you participate?
For us, success at this event only comes when the entire region participates. We need your help! A successful resource map will:
- Improve and increase access to resources and services
- Enable the creation of new resources to areas that need it most
- Increase networking and collaboration to provide better service for all our clients
- Develop comprehensive and effective partnerships both within and outside of our traditional networks

We can do better! Our neighbors are still struggling to access services they so desperately need. A map that is available to all communities and all agencies will ensure no one goes without life-saving resources.

Who should come?
Anyone from your organization or agency that can answer questions about your mission, your services, and your capacity.   We are striving to make this resource map the most comprehensive and complete map we can make, so we need as much participation as possible!

Please pass the flyer along to your networks! Any nonprofit, government agency, or service organization that works with the community to provide services is welcome to attend.

What do I bring?
Yourself! Bring business cards, brochures, flyers, anything you would like to share with your partners in human services. We will be dividing the areas for services by county, then school district, so please take a moment to look up your school district so we can more effectively map everyone who attends.

This sounds great! Now what?
RSVP by using the email below! We will add you to the list. We will provide coffee, tea, and pastry-type refreshments, so come and enjoy the morning as we work together to make a more equitable and collaborative community.

I want to participate but I can’t come!
No worries! Send me an email and I will forward you the questionnaire that we will use to fill in the resource map. Once it is complete, you will get an update and the link to access the map.

Thank you for the work you do, and for the service you provide. We look forward to meeting you and learning about your work!
