Provider meeting this Friday, March 13th, from 9:00am-11:00am. As always, we are at the Salvation Army Church (1110 S Puget Sound Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405). Sadly, no breakfast for the time being.
You can also attend this meeting remotely in three ways:
- We will have live-captioning (live captioning is where someone types out everything that is said). It will be displayed on the TV on-site, and also visible in real time remotely at

It is possible these remote meeting options don’t work so hot – I’m new to hosting large remote meetings like the Coalition, so will probably be screwing some things up this first time around. My apologies. I’d love someone on the Coalition
to take on the role of setting up this infrastructure. Richard Berghammer is helping with some video and audio equipment selection, but I could really use even more help setting up and running the equipment each week.
The executive summary:
- The
Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management
will provide an update on prevention and preparation for the coronavirus.
- Sea Mar will talk about what someone suspected of having coronavirus can expect at a medical clinic
- Best practice changes in operations at Shelters and in homeless outreach – with current experiences from Tacoma Rescue Mission, Associated Ministries, and Catholic Community Services
- Open session to talk about what supports we need from our City, State and Emergency management partners, with possible small group breakout to discuss a variety of topics.
