Colleagues,
A few key items:

1.  Nonprofits are eligible under the Small Business Administration loans - WA State has been certified so this money will be available.  Interest rate for nonprofits is 2.75%.   Rep. Kilmer appears to "get" nonprofits - if you need this type of money to front reimbursable grants or cover a canceled fundraiser, suggest you contact his office directly.  Obviously grant funds are better but 2.75% is pretty cheap money against late fees, etc.

2.  $30M is coming to the WA State Dept of Commerce which will be distributed to each county for isolation/quarantine, etc.  I expect details will come soon from Comerce and/or Pierce County.

CHI-Franciscan Dr. Nathan Schlicher says doctors are going to the Stability Site, doctors will write notes to keep homeless people inside shelters during the day, Tacoma shelters have set up quarantine areas.  Note:  I'm not sure this is even possible at all shelters.

Note on testing:  a negative test does not rule out presence of the virus at an undetected level.

I left the call after 1 hour fifteen minutes...

Be well,
Maureen
