Hello Community-

I put a message in the chat box at the coalition meeting today, and am following up. I have heard several folks speaking about the gap that is left by the mature volunteer workforce. I've had preliminary discussions about seeking funding that would allow Valeo to place paid workers in these positions. Valeo has extended eligibility to include folks whose employment has been negatively impacted by COVID-19, and I'd love to match some of these jobseekers with some of these positions.

If there is a large enough need, I will continue to seek funding. However, with the Stay-at-Home orders, I'm not sure the need is large enough?

If you have a need for assistance in filling the gap left by high-risk volunteers, please let me know. I need to know how many staff you would need and how many hours/wk you would need them for.
