Allen et al,

Here is a link to the recording of a webinar I attended last week. While primarily geared toward First Responders, it really is applicable to anyone experiencing this stress.

Additionally, the IAFF (the union to which most fire fighters belong) has published excellent resources on its webpage. Most of these are accessible to anyone by going to IAFF.org and clicking on “Coronavirus Resource” under Quick Links. From there, scroll down to “Resources” on the left side of the page. From there, scroll down to Behavioral Health Resources for excellent tools/suggestions. Again, these might be geared toward First Responders but are likely adaptable to anyone in this situation.

Hope this helps.
Stay well,

Gentleones,

I got to thinking about the emotional impacts of the work you are doing these days of caronavirus and COVID-19.  I am curious about what your organizations, your supervisors and you are doing to help ease those stresses, especially what helps most.  It might be helpful to share information about those "best practices" with others in the coalition listserv.

With you in spirit,

Al Ratcliffe
