Good afternoon,

Please find attached the Description and FAQ's for our partnership with Seattle Credit Union.  This new partnership between the Tacoma Pierce County Coalition to End Homelessness and the Seattle Credit Union makes it possible for people experiencing homelessness or who are part of the Homeless Response System to set up an account with Seattle Credit by using an on-line option.  They can then use the direct deposit option for the Economic Stimulus Payments.  Even if they receive their checks by mail, there is an option for mobile deposit of checks.   These are regular membership accounts.

Seattle Credit Union has approved the attached Description and FAQ's.  We will update this information as we learn more.  Ziquora Banks, see contact information on page 4 of the Description, will be the initial point of contact for Seattle Credit Union.

Theresa Power-Drutis, New Connections, see page 4 for contact information, will respond to your questions.  Our first successful applicant is from New Connections.

Please do let me know your experiences using this program, any successes that you know of - no names, any questions you have, any suggestions you have.  Fair warning, I don't answer the cell but you can leave a voice mail and/or text.

Seattle Credit Union may publicize this partnership and I will present it on a coming National Low Income Housing Coalition State and Local Implementation Working Group call.

As always, thank you for your work,
Maureen
