Good Evening,

I am with the GMAC Family Shelter at Altheimer Memorial Church.  We are a new shelter that opened to homeless families with children in February 2020.

Since we are new to serving this vulnerable population, I am trying to gather all information for our shelter residents related to housing opportunities. 

I reached out to Valeri and she suggested I reach out to this Coalition.  What would be the first step for a family entering a shelter to try and secure housing?

I do have a new family that has a current voucher with the CHAP program.  They are getting denied based on credit.  I do not know where to send them at this point.

We are looking to build bridges related to housing going forward so we know how to help our residents secure housing.
