Resources from the 7-15 Call
As always, several resources were highlighted in the chat that are worth uplifting:
  • The Dept. of Commerce couldn't join us for last week's call, but they asked us to share this update: "We will be extending the COVID county grants to the end of December but amending the statement of work with tighter guidelines around uses for I&Q housing and expanded shelter capacity. We will be making the formal announcement the last week of July, after we launch the Eviction Assistance Rental Program (ERAP)."
  • See attached for our updated report on missed rent payments for the month of June
  • Learn more about the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network's work here: https://www.waisn.org/
  • Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network Hotline: 1-844-724-3737
  • WAISN also has a rent relief fund you can donate to! www.scholarship junkies.com/relief
  • If your landlord is trying or threatening to evict you between now and August 2nd, that is illegal in most cases, and the Attorney General's office is enforcing this. You can file a legal complaint with the AG here: https://fortress.wa.gov/atg/formhandler/ago/COVID19EvictionComplaintForm.aspx
And here is the link to the form in Spanish: https://fortress.wa.gov/atg/formhandler/ago/COVID19EvictionComplaintFormSpanish.aspx
Take care, and talk to you later this week!
