Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of Americans are facing increased financial hardship. Many are unable to afford their rent or their mortgage. While Congressman Heck has introduced a $100 billion rental assistance bill in Congress and has been advocating to federal agencies on behalf of homeowners, the next relief bill is stalled in the U.S. Senate.

Meanwhile, organizations like Habitat for Humanity have continued to help people stay in their homes, even as they face operational difficulties brought about by the pandemic.

Congressman Denny Heck (WA-10) and Tacoma-Pierce County Habitat for Humanity CEO Maureen Fife will hold a Facebook live town hall to discuss the path forward in providing relief to people in Washington state and throughout the country.
