Subject: Help Shape our 2021 Policy Priorities: Fill Out Our Survey Today!

Washington Low Income Housing Alliance

Dear Kelly,

When the Washington legislature convenes next January, they will have the opportunity to make budget decisions and pass laws to address urgent homelessness and affordable housing issues. Together we can help focus their attention on the actions that will have the biggest impact on our communities!

As the Housing Alliance builds our own 2021 priorities, we want your input. We want you to share the most urgent issues you see in your community. With the economic recession causing a significant state budget deficit, lawmakers will have their hands full identifying and debating budget solutions. We'll have to work hard to ensure that funding for key protections don't get cut and we'll have to work hard to make sure that policy issues that don't cost money don't get lost in the shuffle.

Prioritization of the most urgent issues will be especially key and we need your input to identify the most important priorities that will have a statewide, positive impact on our shared goal of preventing homelessness and increasing access to safe, healthy, and affordable homes.

Please plan on taking about 15 minutes for our survey and share with other affordable housing and homelessness advocates who will want to weigh in. The survey closes on August 31, so please be sure to take it before then!

With Gratitude,

~Michele
