Good morning,
I don't know if we'll get to this during Friday's Coalition meeting so I'm sending it out today.  We have a number of working groups and committees that are open to all interested Coalition participants but I'm not sure everyone knows about them or how to join.  We've done a great deal of work in a "committee of the whole" but we can also use these committees/working groups to focus on specific issues of interest.  I know it is often difficult for line staff to participate in committees/working groups but some of these meet only once/month and they can be a great way to learn more about and make real contributions to a specific issue of interest. We're committed to racial equity so please keep that in mind and reach out to people of color so they know we are serious and they are most welcome.

Here's what I know - please send me corrections, additions, etc.  I made some arbitrary decisions about the chairs, descriptions, etc.  Feel free to push back.

 1.  Coalition Friday Morning Meeting Planning Committee: Rob Huff, Chair.  This group meets immediately after the Friday Coalition meeting to plan the next meetings.

2.   Coalition Steering Committee:  Gerrit Nyland, Chair.  This group does not have a set meeting date/time.  It will work on the future of the Coalition - picking up that early Fall discussion of what our organizational structure might be going forward.

3.  Winter Shelter Steering Committee:  Kevin Glackin-Coley, Chair.  This group meets Friday morning at 8:00 before the Coalition meeting to provide oversight to our Winter Shelter project.  It will sunset when the project ends - right now, April 30, 2021.

4.  Continuum of Care/Homeless Coalition Housing Work Group:  Amanda DeShazo, Chair.  This group is part of the Continuum of Care Housing Subcommittee.  Meetings are 3-4 pm on the second Tuesday of the month.

5. Safe Parking Network: Jan Runbeck, Chair: This group meets Mondays from 12-1. Its focus is implementing safe parking programs across Pierce County and distributing the $150K received from PC Connected.

6.  TPCCoalition to End Homelessness- TPC Chamber of Commerce Housing Committee:  Al Ratcliffe, Chair.  This group does not have a set meeting time/date.  Its focus is on housing policies that both the Coalition and the Chamber can support.
7.  TPCCoalition to End Homelessness-TPC Chamber of Commerce Employment Committee:
8. TPC Coalition to end Homelessness-TPC Chamber of Commerce Racial Equity Committee:
I don't know the chairs on the Coalition side but Al Ratcliffe is our point of contact.  Sherri Jensen is on as a member of the Chamber.

9.  Coalition Advocacy Committee: Maureen Howard, Chair.  This group has not met but I promise we will.

10.  Possible single issue groups:
       Eviction Defense
       Safe Encampments
       Staff Support

That's what I know.  Probably easiest to just email me if you'd like to join any of the working groups/committees and I'll forward your information to the chair.

Be safe everyone,
Maureen
