Ugh – major typo on that message. Inclement weather is called through the end of the cold weather – looking like just one week – February 8^th through February 15^th. My apologies for the mistake. Definitely not extending through March. Or at least let’s hope not.

We started with this winter with no additional space available for inclement weather. We didn’t even send an email on the first freezing day in the fall because there were no shelter beds available. Thanks to The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, Pierce County, the City of Tacoma, and our great provider community, we have options tonight.

Inclement Weather today - Monday, February 8^ththrough Monday, February 15^th– extra overnight shelter capacity is available at multiple sites:

Center at Norpoint Warming Shelter - 4818 Nassau Ave NE, Tacoma, WA 98422 – serves single women, couples, women with children over 18. No single men, no minors. Three meals served daily.
Salvation Army Warming Shelter - 1110 S Puget Sound Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405 – serves single adults. Three meals served daily
Tacoma Rescue Mission Men's Shelter - 425 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98402 – serves single men and single women. Three meals served daily. Clients may be transported to a satellite shelter.
Catholic Community Services Family Housing Network Hotel Program – call 253-389-4027 or visit 5050 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98409 – serves families (households with adults and minors).
CLR Young Adult Shelter - 415 S 13th St, Tacoma, WA 98402 – young adults aged 18-25
Roosevelt Barracks Crisis Residential Center - 1301 Orting Kapowsin Hwy E, Orting, WA 98360 – serves honorably discharged veterans. email delena.josephsen@dva.wa.gov or melissa.frink@dva.wa.gov to access site.

New this inclement weather season is a bed availability tracker built into the Overnight Shelter Information Page. Many of our shelters are listing the number of beds currently available there. So you can go to one webpage to see which shelter have openings.
