The Health Department is hosting a vaccination event in Parkland this Friday, February 10^th. It is focused on people currently eligible (Phase 1A and 1B tier 1) but are experiencing barriers to getting an immunization. If you have clients 65 and up and experiencing homelessness (or part of other marginalized communities listed below), they are eligible for this event. Registration will fill up quick, so get busy.

This event is meant for eligible folks (Phase 1A and 1B tier 1) that are experiencing access barriers including:

• Latinx, Black/African American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
• People at greater risk of infection who have reduced access to care, like essential workers, people with housing instability and people with disabilities.
• Communities that experience racism and marginalization:
• Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
• LGBTQI+.
• Low-income households.
• Rural communities.
• People with disabilities.
• Immigrants and refugees.
• People with limited English proficiency.
