Good morning y'all,

I'm reaching out about Home in Tacoma, a major change to Tacoma’s zoning codes to foster new and more affordable housing in the city. It’s a new plan that centers racial equity, the climate, and attempts to mitigate the harmful effects of growth, but like all city housing plans, it is facing opposition.

Tacoma DSA -- through our Housing Justice & Ecosocialism committees -- is calling on community members in support of housing justice to make their voices heard to the City of Tacoma's Planning Commission & Council in support of the Transformative Housing Plan. If interested, here's two ways that you can support this week:

1. Send an email via our Action Network Letter Campaign before Friday, April 9th to the Tacoma Planning Commission & City Council. Check out our full statement, but also has an embedded, quick-and-easy emailing tool!

2. Attend the next Planning Commission meeting on April 7th at 5:30 pm to advocate for the Transform Plan. The Zoom info is as follows:
Public Hearing
Wednesday, April 7, 2021 starting at 5:30 PM on ZOOM
Dial: +1 253 215 8782
Webinar ID: 821 9792 3401

Thanks for your help in making Tacoma a more welcoming place to live for all its residents. Please share with your networks!
