Yesterday, the Pierce County Human Services Committee unanimously voted to move Resolution R2021-82 on to the full Council with a do pass recommendation. That resolution should be before the full Council on Tuesday, May 25^th. The resolution implements the recommendations in the Action Plan (available at https://www.piercecountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/105165 ) – namely the expansion and continuation of the ad hoc committee through December to create the comprehensive plan and the creation of a shelter focused team working on implementing shelter for all by November 1^st. That resolution is attached.

The Coalition will have one official representative on the continuing Comprehensive Plan committee, and one official representative on the Shelter Work Group. We are looking for volunteers/nominees to fill those roles. We’ll vote on those representatives at this coming Friday’s Coalition meeting. If you can’t make it to this Friday’s Coalition meeting but would like to volunteer or nominate someone – just let me know.
