Inclement Weather today, Saturday June 26th, 2021 through at least Monday, June 28th, 2021. Around 30 daytime cooling stations are available at varying times and on varying days throughout the region. We’ve consolidated those resources at https://cooling.pchomeless.org/ .

Ride for free on a pierce transit bus route to get to a cooling station – info at https://www.piercetransit.org/news/?id=515

If you are doing outreach to encampments, bottled water is available for pickup at the Stability Site - 1423 Puyallup Ave, Tacoma, WA.

The Health Department website has a very succinct review of symptoms and actions to take for heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke – worth a quick review: https://www.tpchd.org/healthy-places/emergency-preparedness/keep-cool . Cooling stations are certainly about comfort, but they are also about staying alive.

Keep cool,
