We are gearing up for the 99 stocking project and wondering if we might expand the project to include any unhoused person who would like a holiday bag. We've only distributed these to campers near 14th and G street in the past - but we could expand this if outreach folk are interested in helping to distribute. 

If you - or your agency -work directly with unhoused people who could use a little holiday cheer - let me know how many holiday bags you would need and where you would be distributing these (so that if more than one person replies about the same camp, we won't overestimate the number of bags needed). I know that locations and people can shift between now and December - but - need to get an estimate so we can expand if needed. NOTE: depending on demand, the bags may get pretty simple - but that will depend on how many items are donated.

We only distribute to shelters and other places where people sleep - not at day centers/services locations. But if someone else is interested in collecting and distributing to other groups - happy to have a "sister or brother" project and can offer tips/planning/technical support.

Also, please let me know if you can collect anything on the list. No matter how many or few items - everything helps!
