About the Event

Co-parenting is a vitally important yet challenging and emotionally complex part of raising children. Making a co-parenting agreement work takes emotional maturity, wiliness, flexibility, and resilience. Co-parenting agreements are complicated, and there is no "cookie-cutter" method. For unmarried parents, the process is even more problematic. This session will focus on strategies and techniques to help parents establish functional co-parenting agreements through the use NPCL's Enhancing Parenting Skills Through Effective Co-parenting Relationships Curriculum. Providers who attend this event will be entered in a drawing to a free copy of the curriculum valued at $500.00.

About the Presenter

Image removed by sender. Dr Jeffery Johnson - Co parenting Dr. Jeffery Johnson has provided decades of leadership in the fatherhood inclusion movement in the United States. He is currently the President and CEO of the National Partnership for Community Leadership (NPCL). As a national nonprofit intermediary organization, NPCL's mission is to strengthen the service capacity of nonprofit and community-based agencies to empower youth and families. A particular focus of Dr. Johnson’s work has been on the plight of African American men and families. Dr. Johnson played a principal role in passage of the first national fatherhood legislation in Congress, The Fathers Count Bill. Dr. Johnson is also the author of several publications including Fatherhood Development: A Curriculum for Young Fathers. Dr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Urban Education from the University of Michigan.
