Subject: Encampment Removals: 8th and Yakima; 15th-18th and Yakima

Hi Rob!

Per your request this morning, here is the information via email:

Both location will be posted this morning and although our encampment removal policy allows a 72-hour posting, the City will implement a one-week posting period to allow for increased connection to shelter.  We have seen both sites have a significant increase in emergency service requests.  both sites have had a significant increase in emergency service requests.

The Homeless Engagement and Alternatives Liaison Team (HEAL Team) estimates 10 to 15 individuals at the 8th Street and Yakima encampment and 15-20 individuals at the encampment between 15th Street to 18th Street and Yakima.

As of last week we had more than 45 beds available through our Temporary & Emergency shelters and we will continue to monitor shelter availability daily including our permanent shelters such as TRM, Nativity House, and Salvation Army.
