I am going to give this a shot again- does anyone have a list of pet sites for both temporary shelter/foster, and/or shelters that allow pets? If no response, may I suggest we brainstorm this in a Coalition meeting. For all the animal lovers
out there, is there a possibility of a program that could temporarily foster pets? I imagine this is something that would fundable through grants and/or donations. Great idea for a non-profit.

Hello,
I am currently working with a teenaged client who’s family is in the process of getting a new place to live after a period of homelessness. However, they have a small dog whom the landlord will only accept if the family has a letter from
a registered social worker. The client and mother have intakes scheduled in a few weeks, but neither of them are currently active enough in their services for a social worker to write them a letter, and the mother is on a time crunch to move into their new
place. She does not want to choose between homelessness and her family’s dog.
Does anyone know of any places that would temporarily shelter this dog until either family member is active enough in services for the letter to be written, or any resources that could help the family’s situation?
Best,
Jessica Fryberger
