Subject: Possible Mobile Outreach at Parkland Spanaway Pierce County Library

Hello,

My name is Cory, I am a Librarian at the Parkland/Spanaway Pierce County Library. I wanted to reach out because as the warm weather has moved in early (and with how extreme it’s gotten the pat few years), we have had more unhoused folks coming into the library to escape the heat, many of whom are looking to be connected to resources.

We often connect them to PCHC for coordinated entry, but I am wondering, as we have people who need those services here more often, if it might be worth having some scheduled Outreach from you all to do those Coordinated Entries (and/or other services) for people who happen to be here, if that is something PCHC does. If so, I would love to talk about scheduling some trial visits- we have a lot of space options including a conference room and meeting room that might be good for beating the heat and providing those services.

Subject: Resources for a client

Hello!

I wanted to reach out to you to see if you are aware of any resources available for a client. This client is experiencing homelessness currently, but has employment. They will be able to afford roughly $700 or less for rent and have a pet. Most of the places I have been able to find have a waitlist or are not accepting applications at this time. Are you aware of any places that I might be able to find something for this client?

Hello,

I have a client who is needing a disability document signed off by a Mental Health Provider (MHP). Due to the client not having a current provider, we have not yet found resources to assist. This is the last piece needed for this client to be able to move into his new housing, Does anyone happen to know a MHP or have any resources for this client?
