We have a list of homeless outreach supply need and share items at this link. If you would like to list any needs, use this form or just send them to me, and they’ll be added to the list. 

A large number of items are available at the Common Good Supply Station at First United Methodist Church of Tacoma, 621 Tacoma Ave S, . Tacoma, 98402. It’s open Tuesdays, noon - 2 pm. Go to the back alley and come to the door between the 2 garages and call Theresa Power-Drutis at 253-617-1405 when you are at the door. Needed items can also be dropped off to share with others.

My daughter and I just got back from talking with a group of people who are sleeping outside and have been getting a lot of grief from several housed folks in trucks, apparently one of them stole a tent they set up almost immediately after, smh.

We are putting together a care package for them from what we have in excess and could use some backup if anyone is able to help 🙂

Here are the items we are still looking for:

- socks
- boxers
- hygiene usable without running water (is baby wipes)
- peroxide/first aid
- dry wood
- phone
- portable phone charger/s
- feminine products
- harness for a med-lg dog
- tent/s
- sleeping bag/s
- jacket/s
- clothes
- tarp/s
- hand sanitizer
- dog food

If you know where I can find any of these items and/or have any you are willing to part with, please let me know; my daughter and I decided to reach out to them because she's been seeing some really negative posts on social that were really cruel toward them simply for being there, and because we're so close and I drive by there regularly we are hoping to help a little.

I plan to bring them back some information for shelter and hygiene stations, along with usable items and some food and stuff. Please note that we are doing this independently, not affiliated with any organization or group or work of any kind.

They expressed interest in receiving help through case management; I don't know if they will reach out to any places on the information sheet I'm bringing them but if anyone reading this is called to try to work with them and would like to know where to find them, please reach out and ask.
