The City wants to sell the land that TEMS 4 currently occupies. The City and LIHI planned this last year. LIHI has worked very closely with the City of Tacoma to ensure that none of our clients are misplaced and that they will have another shelter where they can reside. The City of Tacoma and LIHI are having weekly meetings to ensure this transfer is smooth for all our clients. 



HI All,

Has anybody heard information regarding the Tiny Houses that are closing at the end of June?  The property that the lease ended?  I have been hearing that it may be staying open, or that it is staying open but moving to a new location. I have also heard that there is a waiting list to stay on...

We tried to contact the 206 number for LIHI and the voice mailbox is full/ unable to leave a message.  My client that lives there, tells me the resource person just hands her a list of apartments to call and is never on site. Also she tells me there isn't even an operational office with working office equipment, like a fax machine. So- she wonders how her paperwork gets turned in to the Seattle headquarters of LIHI?     Any info or contacts would be appreciated.  Thank you.
