Hello Everyone,
Pierce East currently has three outstation locations with one worker at each site one day per week. All are listed with hours and services on the office locator on DSHS.wa.gov. I have attached a screenshot with our offices highlighted in yellow. I have also attached a flyer for each location.
Discussions are underway for a proposed Community Service office in the Puyallup area, but we have no specific location or opening date (last projected date we heard was sometime in 2026).
Thank you,
Michelle McNett

Glenn do you have a staff member in an outstation at the St. Francis House in Puyallup? If so, can you provide clarification on the days/hours you have a person there and what services are being provided? Also if you don’t mind can you share any other outstations your team supports in East Pierce County. It may also help our partners to know of our plans to open a new CSO in East Pierce County and any relate preliminary info we can share related to those plans.

Hello everyone,
Is there anyone that can address the email below and bring clarification on what DSHS services are being offered out here in East Pierce County.
Rumor has it that a site is being opened, but where? How do we effectively inform the community of the services provided if we do not know when and where a very important state agency will be providing services?
It would be great to know what the plans are and we need to work with as we are looking to ensure and communicate with the community.
Please see the message below. This may not apply but if should provide insight into the needs of the this end of pierce.
Thanks,

Good Morning All,
Some of you may have heard that DSHS has an Outpost at St. Francis House in our emergency services office in the Riebli house presently. Their case manager, Byron, is here on Tuesdays only from 1:00 to 5:00.
People are being sent here and told that DSHS is now at this address. Some also believe that Byron can print EBT cards and leave them here for pick up but that is not true either. He can’t print cards for pick up.
People arrive with high hopes, thinking we can reload their EBT cards, etc., and it is heartbreaking to turn them away. If you need to send someone over, please let them know that DSHS is only on our site on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 5:00.
Thank you,
Have a great day!
