Also if they can get the DR to give a RX get WIC to cover it. I would have the parent speak with the DR.
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program is a place where families like yours get healthy food and a lot more. WIC is for pregnant people, new and breast and chest feeding parents, infants, and children under age 5. WIC helps improve the health of parents and children through:

    Hello Community,

I am working with a little, that is lactose intolerant. His mom has found a milk that he can drink to help him in his first years of life. Does anyone know of any programs that will help pay or discount the milk for a single mom. The baby is able to drink whole foods 365 lactose free milk. I tried contacting Whole foods and they only donate to non-profits.

EBT and WIC would be my first suggestion. I would suggest contacting Nourish and see if they can get the milk for mom and bring to a location. Also contact FRCs like The Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center in Hilltop has WIC, EBT and a free grocery store pop-up plus many supportive parenting programs. They could be a good resource to cover all bases and could act as proxy.

    Dear Partners:

I hope this email finds you well. We are excited to reach out to you today to share a wonderful opportunity that we believe could have a significant impact on the lives of young individuals in our community.

We are currently on the lookout for ten motivated and enthusiastic youths (16-25 years of age) who are eager to learn and dive into the world of entrepreneurship by starting their own Microgreens or herb business. This comprehensive program spans over 20 weeks and offers a unique learning experience that is both enriching and rewarding.

As part of this program, participants will receive a generous stipend of $18 per hour, making it a great opportunity to not only gain valuable knowledge but also earn while they learn. The program is set to kick off this week, but we have decided to extend the application deadline to ensure more individuals can seize this chance.

    Perks

At the culmination of the program, we are committed to supporting our participants every step of the way. From personalized one-on-one mentoring to potential scholarships of up to $2500, matching bank account assistance of $2500, and equipment and marketing grants that could reach up to $25,000, we aim to provide a solid foundation for budding entrepreneurs to thrive.

We are reaching out to you today to kindly ask for your assistance in spreading the word about this incredible opportunity. Your network and influence could play a vital role in connecting us with deserving youths who could benefit greatly from this program.

If you know of any youth who would be a perfect fit for this initiative or if you can help us by sharing this information within your community, we would be immensely grateful. Together, we can empower and support the next generation of entrepreneurs and change-makers.

To apply see attached flier.  If you have questions please contact Jolene Cook, program manager Jolene@themadfseattle.org.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email, and we sincerely appreciate your support in helping us make a difference in the lives of our youth. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

    Warm regards,

Hi there, I have a resident who needs a new driver's license as his license has expired. He has zero income, are there any organizations that assist with paying for a new driver's license?

Pregnant and Homeless by Brenda Fowler-Longoria (08 Jan 2025 22:13 UTC)

    Hello,

I am working with a member who is pregnant, has her son, and is homeless. She is staying in a shelter at the moment, but it is an hour away from TG. She doesn’t feel comfortable driving anymore. She is due on 02/01 and she has had some health concerns. She is anemic and has to have iron infusions done 2x a week, and she also had to get the Rh Immunoglobulin shot for blood type incompatibility.

I wanted to see if anyone knows of an organization that can offer a motel voucher until she gives birth.

    Thank you,
