Good Afternoon,
The Bethlehem Baptist Church Homeless Family Shelter has openings for up to 13 people with intake interviews starting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 and move-in starting on February 13th if the background is passed. We take families (parents with children), males only if they are custodial parents of children, and single women with or without children. Have the applicant call 253-238-1268. We only take people who call for an appointment. We don't take anyone who shows up at the Shelter asking for admittance without being screened first by a telephone interview.
Bethlehem's Shelter is a congregate living environment with limited privacy. There are no private living quarters. Each family's sleeping/living quarters are separated by partitions. There is a private room for nursing mothers. There are separate private bathrooms and showers for men and women. We have a large common room where meals are served and residents can watch TV, meet with Shelter Aides for case management, and interact with each other. There is also an onsite Social Worker. We have a washer and dryer, lockers and bins for clothing, and a small cubby to store non-perishable foods. We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also help families enroll children in daycare or school, help residents find permanent housing, get enrolled in DSHS, Social Security, and other assistance programs. Please note that residents can only stay up to 90 days.
Please have the applicant call 253-238-1268.
