We're happy to share two upcoming no-cost training opportunities through the Pierce County Behavioral Health Workforce Initiative, and we are also inviting your feedback through a short community survey from Comprehensive Life Resources. Please see the details below.

Addressing Cultural Connectivity: Race Relations in the 21st Century
Led by Dr. Caprice Hollins – Author, Keynote Speaker, and TEDx Presenter
Format: Interactive presentation within a social justice framework

Participants will:

• Gain shared understanding of key terms and concepts
• Learn a framework for engaging effectively across cultures and undoing systems of oppression
• Begin to explore how they were socialized around race, racism, and race relations

Training Dates:

• Virtual: April 24, 2024
• In-person: May 27, 2024 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Suicide Intervention Training (LivingWorks ASIST)
Format: 2-day, in-person, interactive, skills-based workshop

Choose from two date options:

• July 23 – 24, 2024
• August 25 – 26, 2024

You will learn to:

• Provide suicide first aid using a 6-task intervention model
• Recognize and respond to signs of suicidal ideation
• Support individuals in connecting to safety and resources

Community Partner Behavioral Health Survey
