Associated Ministeries responce to their Mail Service Program

Thanks for the shout out; however, for mail services, one has to be referred by DSHS.  So, if you are working with clients, let them know we are definitely taking referrals, but it has to come through DSHS.  I understand the process is quite quick.

 Basically, if they do not qualify for DSHS, or they aren't already receiving benefits, they would have to begin the process.  If already receiving DSHS benefits, it is very simple to get a mail referral.

    Hope you're doing well! I wanted to let you know that our Anchor Communities Initiative (ACI) Request for Proposal (RFP) funding is now available. This funding is designed to support an integrated homeless response system in Pierce County, helping to quickly re-house households experiencing homelessness through Street Outreach Services (ages 12-24) and Young Adult Shelter (ages 18-24).

    We're happy to share two upcoming no-cost training opportunities through the Pierce County Behavioral Health Workforce Initiative, and we are also inviting your feedback through a short community survey from Comprehensive Life Resources. Please see the details below.

    Addressing Cultural Connectivity: Race Relations in the 21st Century
    Led by Dr. Caprice Hollins – Author, Keynote Speaker, and TEDx Presenter
    Format: Interactive presentation within a social justice framework

    Participants will:

    Gain shared understanding of key terms and conceptsLearn a framework for engaging effectively across cultures and undoing systems of oppressionBegin to explore how they were socialized around race, racism, and race relations
