Hello, Coalition Partners,
I was contacted by a family that is trying to assist a 16y.o. who they know and has been physically beaten by her father. CPS was notified and for right now the family has sheltered her in their home. Considering reunification is an emphasized goal at the CRC, that might not be a good first place for her. The family is willing to house her into the near future, but was wondering what precautions they might need to do, such as make someone aware that she is with them (without giving location) in case she has been reported runaway.
