Hi Service Providers.

We are a network of Churches who have been serving those in need in
Pierce County since 2002. Formerly called Love INC of Pierce County, now
called Bridges of Love NW. We run a 15 week program twice a year called
Jobs for Life. We have mentors from the churches come alongside of the
students to encourage and support them through this journey.

The curriculum is Christian based, helps people work through overcoming
roadblocks in their lives, and  helps them see the importance of
building character, and why that's important to employers. We do career
assessments to help them see where their passion and interest is in. We
have a resume writing workshop helping them to build a resume that shows
their strengths and skills and why they'd be an asset to the company. We
also have a Business Relations team of mentors who come in twice during
the program to do panel and individual mock interviews.  We help them
develop a plan for the future and to build a good 60 second speech on
their strengths and what they have to offer a company.

We provide free childcare during the program.
We provide meals to the adult and children of the program and for each
night a student participates and does their homework they receive a $15
gas card to Safeway.

Location varies. We are currently at a Tacoma Church. Our next program
starts in September and will be at Puyallup Nazarene Church and then our
January 2020 program will be back in Tacoma at New Community Church off
Cedar St. and close to 19th.
