Hello All,

I have a 60-something year old that is facing eviction due to the fact
that she is having her apartment of 4 years demolished and the land
being developed. She has Substance Use Disorder, lives with mental
health challenges, and more than likely has some cognitive
difficulties. She is on section 8 housing with a fixed monthly income
due to SSI. She's lived independently for quite some time with her
pets, and is just wholly unprepared for the difficulties surrounding
the navigation of finding a new residence. She says that she's been
laughed at, patronised, and hung up on in her search for a new home.
I was wondering if any of you had any leads on an agency, org, or
persons that could help alleviate some of the anxiety she's facing
trying to avoid homelessness. Unfortunately it's getting close to the
time. I can provide transportation for appointments, but I'm just
wondering to whom would be the most beneficial for her to speak with.
