or at the Mel Korum Family YMCA

June 14 9:30am – 11:30pm

Community Talks Community Listens is the opportunity to gather as the community; giving us a place to share what we appreciate about our community,

what we are concerned about, and identify topics this community wants or needs to talk about.

Late summer and into the fall the YMCA along with other community partners will be hosting dialogues around critical topics.

The conversations in Community Talks Community Listens will help inform the topics chosen for these future dialogues.

These initial conversations are the first step for the Bridge of Hope community initiative.

The purpose of Bride of Hope is to create a space for people to gather in meaningful civil dialogue around

complex social issues with those of differing perspectives, to elevate understanding and cooperation and to increase civility and hope in our community.

We believe we the community can do better in these times of great divide. We believe when people come together good things can happen.

Bridge of Hope started from the passion of a few YMCA volunteers who believe the Y is a great organization that can convene people from all perspectives and walks of life.

This initiative aligns with the Y’s commitment to building strong communities.

The Y does not have identified areas of concern but is here to listen to the community and then host healthy civic dialogues.

If you have interest in Bridge of Hope or have questions please feel free to email or call me.

Gratefully,

Janele
